Terms of Service — Raising Green

Welcome to Raising Green. These Terms of Service (”Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Raising Green newsletter, website, and any related content, products, or services (collectively, the “Publication”), published by Iliyana Stareva (”I,” “me,” “we,” “Raising Green”). By subscribing to, reading, or otherwise using the Publication, you agree to these Terms.

Raising Green is hosted on Substack. Your use of Substack’s platform is also governed by Substack’s own Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, which apply alongside these Terms.

1. Who this is for

The Publication is intended for adults. If you are under 16, please do not subscribe or submit any personal information.

2. The content

Raising Green publishes newsletters, product reviews, social media content, and digital products related to sustainable family living, expat life, and parenting. Content reflects my personal opinions, research, and experience. It is provided for informational and entertainment purposes only and does not constitute professional, medical, legal, environmental, or safety advice. You should use your own judgment, and consult a qualified professional, before making decisions based on anything published here — particularly regarding children’s health, nutrition, or safety.

I make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but make no guarantees that content is complete, current, or error-free. Product recommendations and reviews reflect my own testing and views at the time of writing and may change.

3. Affiliate links and sponsored content

Some posts may contain affiliate links, meaning I may earn a commission if you make a purchase through them, at no additional cost to you. Any sponsored content, gifted products, or paid partnerships will be clearly disclosed. I only recommend products I genuinely believe in, but I am not responsible for your experience with any third-party product or seller.

4. Paid subscriptions and digital products

Certain content (such as the paid newsletter tier or specific guides) is available for a fee, processed through Substack’s payment infrastructure (powered by Stripe) or other platforms I may use to sell digital products. By purchasing, you agree to pay the listed price. Paid subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled; you can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Substack account settings. Digital products are generally non-refundable once delivered, except where required by applicable law — including your statutory right of withdrawal under EU consumer protection law for digital content, where applicable, unless you have expressly consented to immediate access and acknowledged loss of that right.

5. Comments and community

If you comment on posts or participate in any community space I offer, you agree to follow the Reply Rules / community guidelines published on the site: be respectful, stay relevant, no spam or unsolicited self-promotion, and no affiliate links. I reserve the right to remove comments or restrict access for anyone who doesn’t meet that standard.

6. Intellectual property

All original content — newsletter text, photos, graphics, and the Raising Green name and logo — is my property unless otherwise credited. You may share excerpts and links for non-commercial purposes with attribution, but you may not republish, reproduce, or use substantial portions of the content commercially without my written permission.

7. Your data

Your personal information (such as your email address) is collected and used as described in the Raising Green Privacy Policy [link]. By subscribing, you consent to that processing.

8. No warranty, limitation of liability

The Publication is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Publication or reliance on its content, including decisions made about products, purchases, or lifestyle changes based on what you read here.

9. Changes to these Terms

I may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Publication after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms. Material changes will be noted in the Publication where practical.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Spanish courts, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
